1. What are the opening hours of the libraries?

2. Where are HELP libraries located?

1. ELM Business School Library: Lower Level (LL), 15 Jalan Sri Semantan 1, Off Jalan Semantan, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur.

2. Founders Library: Subang 2 Campus, 1st and 2nd Floors, Block C, Persiaran Cakerawala, Subang Bestari, Seksyen U4, 40150 Shah Alam, Selangor.

3. Do you have printing/photocopying services?
Yes, self-service facilities are available.
  • HP (B&W): RM0.10 / page
  • HP (Colour): RM1.00 / page
  • Ricoh (B&W): RM0.15 / page
  • Ricoh (Colour): RM1.00 / page
Paid services by staff: RM0.20 (B&W) / RM1.50 (Colour).
4. Do you have wireless internet access?
Yes, all HELP buildings are equipped with WiFi service.
5. Internet surfing and database facilities?
PCs are available for patrons to access OPAC, online databases, and other resources using their Active Directory username and password.
6. How do I reserve a Discussion Room?
You can place an online booking for rooms in ELM and S2 libraries at https://library.help.edu.my/discussion-room/.
7. Are food and drinks allowed?
Only water is allowed. Food and beverages are strictly prohibited to avoid damage and pests.
8. How can I join the Information Literacy class?
Details are available on the website: https://library.help.edu.my/information-literacy-class/.
9. How do I access the Bloomberg Terminal?
Book at least one day in advance by emailing helpdesk@helplive.edu.my. More info: https://library.help.edu.my/bloomberg-terminal/.
Borrowing, Renewing and Reservation
1. Do I need to register to be a member?
Not required for staff and students; your ID is your verification. External researchers should refer to membership details.
2. How many books can I borrow?
  • Undergraduate: 4 books for 14 days
  • Postgraduate: 5 books for 14 days
  • Staff: 6 books for 90 days
3. Can I renew my books online?
4. How many times can I renew a book?
Limited to 3 times, provided the book is not reserved by another user.
5. Books due soon but can't come to campus?
You may email library@help.edu.my to renew, ask a friend to return them, or send them via Poslaju/courier.
6. What are the fines for late return?
  • Open Shelf: 50 cents per book per day
  • Red Spot: RM1.00 per book per hour
7. Do I receive overdue notifications?
Yes, via email: one sent 3 days before the due date, and another on the due date itself.
8. Can I return books to a different library?
Yes, but we encourage returning to the source library to avoid delays.
9. Can I request book transport between S2 and ELM?
Yes, contact the respective library for arrangements.
10. How do I make a book reservation?
Reserve via the KOHA OPAC system at https://koha.help.edu.my/ and select your pickup location.
11. How to find a book in the library?
Search by title, author, or subject on OPAC: https://koha.help.edu.my/.
Lost Items Procedure
1. What if I lose a borrowed book?
Report it and search for 14 days. If not found, you must either pay the replacement cost (double the book price) or replace it with the same/later edition.
2. Can I get a refund if I find the book later?
No, the library will not refund the replacement cost.
3. Is there a processing fee?
No processing fee, but you must pay any accumulated overdue fines.
Searching for Resources
1. How do I access library resources off-campus?
Login at https://library.help.edu.my.
Username: Student ID
Password: Helplive Account Password
2. Who can access online resources off-campus?
All active staff and current students.
3. How do I access eBooks?
4. How do I access Journals?
Use the ProQuest database or others listed on the Digital Library Resources page.
5. How do I access Law Materials?
Visit the Digital Library section and select Lexis Advance Malaysia or WestLaw Next. Login with Student ID and the password assigned by CIC.
Account for Databases Access
1. What is my login username and password?
Students: HELP Student ID and Password.
Staff: Staff PC/Laptop User and Password.
2. Unable to login?
Contact helpdesk@helplive.edu.my. You may need to reset your password via your Helplive email account.
